UNAND student from Padang, Dinda Puan Rizka W. (24 years), opened an online shop to start her career in business. Through this shop, she sells medical books and medical devices to her buyers.Since Dinda became an Unand student, she had a desire to make money while studying. Seeing the conditions in which her fellow faculty members had difficulty finding medical books, Dinda also opened an online bookstore, especially medical books for students around her.

Dinda said that only a handful of people opened an online bookstore specializing in medicine in Padang. Therefore, she is increasingly challenged to think how this business can survive as time goes by.“Promotion is an important thing to learn well in running any business. But in the current millennial era, we can't just rely on theory, but we have to be good at adapting and taking advantage of technological sophistication in order to survive," she said.

Not only medical books, Dinda also provides medical equipment to books that are references for other majors. In addition, she also creates social media to make it easier for buyers if anyone wants to ask or order. In introducing medical books and tools, Dinda actively promotes on social media such as Instagram with the account name @mimoca.store. It was not enough to get there, Dinda and her friends also created a Youtube account to promote and provide knowledge related to medicine.

Together they build a business strategy, share tasks with each other so that the bookstore's goals are achieved. They also establish connections with bookstores outside Sumatra. Even now this online bookstore can be ordered to the island of Java."In addition to selling medical books, we also sell various medical devices that are usually needed for lectures and of course at a cost that can be incurred for these students," added Dinda.

In introducing her online bookstore, Dinda together with her business partner, Vannisa, also often carry out various promotions in a quite unique way, namely in every purchase package, they will give discounts and pay anyone who promotes books or tools. the health on their social media accounts and don't forget to promote it to new students who are usually confused about finding or buying the medical book.“In addition to promoting products on Instagram, we also promote them on our Youtube account. We also provide knowledge or information about medicine on our Youtube account. We think it's also a great way to introduce our books to many people. Even this small opportunity still needs to be considered," she said.

This online bookstore has actually been occupied by Dinda for quite a long time. She decided to start this business in 2019 after learning a lot about marketing strategies and books from various online sites.Besides being a medical student, she also runs this business as an additional source of income. In the future, Dinda plans to expand his business, by opening orders for the islands of Sumatra and Java. In addition, She will also continue to add innovation in her business.

Dinda did not mind sharing the knowledge she had with others. According to her, there is no harm in sharing knowledge. She is happy if the knowledge she conveys is useful to those who receive it."Don't be stingy about sharing knowledge, just don't. I'm sure that one day we will also be assisted by other people who have more knowledge than us," she said.

Through promotions, placing and timing, this online bookstore called "Mimoca.store" is also known among Unand students to expand outside the region. This is what causes this business to meet its target market. (analisa)Terjemahan ke Bahasa Indonesia:
